. Ally studied dentistry in his hometown of Glasgow, Scotland graduating in 2014. Whilst a student he undertook a range of extra-curricular placements, including a three month placement in oral surgery at Forth Valley Royal Hospital, and a trip to India providing emergency treatment to the local population. Following graduation he began working in general dental practice. Ally developed a keen interest in oral surgery and in 2015 achieved his Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons with the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow, demonstrating advanced postgraduate knowledge and skills. From here Ally moved into a rotation of hospital and training posts, developing a variety of skills to enhance his practice of general dentistry. His surgical skills enable to carry out complex extractions, while his time in the public health system have helped to develop a relaxed, calming manner, especially with children and anxious patients. His main interests are in oral surgery, endodontics, paediatric dentistry, and providing all patients with a stress free dental experience. In the future Ally plans to undertake training into dental implants, IV sedation and the role of oral surgery in advanced restorative cases. Outside of work Ally loves anything related to gravity and the outdoors, especially snowboarding and mountain biking. He also ran the Loch Ness Marathon in 2011 and is a keen musician. |
