COVID-19 UPDATES
With the shift to the Traffic Light Framework ‘Red” setting on December 3rd 2021, we are happy to announce that we are able to perform all types of dental treatment, not just emergencies. We will need to ask a few general health questions before we are able to make your appointment to ensure the safety of our staff, patients and the community.
PLEASE NOTE WE ARE BACK TO OUR NORMAL OPENING HOURS .
Many of our patients maybe anxious about attending the dentist under the present situation. We’d like to reassure you that our dental practice is one of the safest environments you can be in. As dentists, we are already experts in infection control, and we have always exceeded the required regulations.
We now operate to the highest possible level with the additional use of approved PPE when required. Currently for the vast majority of our patients NO ADDITIONAL HIGH LEVEL PPE IS REQUIRED.
To keep you and us safe we are:
- Restricting appointments to only those patients that have no cold-like respiratory symptoms, and who also are not in contact with any person with Covid-like symptoms or are in self isolation, or a recent ‘location of interest’. ALL patients will be screened before they set foot in the practice by a phone questionnaire
- Allowing more time for each appointment to enable an even more thorough deep clean of the surgeries/reception areas after each patient leaves.
- Limiting the flow of patients so that there will be no waiting in the practice . We ask you to be on time and also to attend alone. If you need a caregiver/partner, they can escort you but must not wait in the practice. We can call them when the treatment session is over.
- Hand sanitiser stations
- Air purifiers/HEPA filters in each surgery. They extract 99.8% of aerosol particulates.
